30 odd years is a long time to be writing copy – just as well I love it so much.

Over those years I have worked in a number of top Dublin advertising agencies and freelanced for many more. I have written copy across, above, below and through the line. I’ve devised concepts for TV, radio, press, outdoor, direct and digital. I witnessed the growth of direct marketing from the inside and now find myself doing the same with digital. Mad when you think that the telex was the ultimate in communications technology when I first started out.

Funny thing is that the fundamentals really haven’t changed in all those years. As a copywriter, I’m still in the business of communicating with people and finding the best way to make them interested in what I have to say. Of course some of the tools have changed which is why I’ve headed back to school to study digital marketing. I’ll let you know how I get on.
